Upgrading R&D Buildings – Unilever UK

Client: Unilever UK, Leeds

Acting as principal contractors and following our initial site survey and report into the site combustible materials, we provided budget assistance and solutions to Unilever’s R&D building cladding.

We stripped out the PU insulation panels to the existing curtain walling screens on the external perimeter walls. We provided a non-combustible A1 core panel system and fire stops with new matching aluminium polyester powder coated panels. To complete the scheme, we prepared and recoated the discontinued cover caps and refixed with new gaskets and pressure plates to provide a modern finish which matched perfectly with the newer buildings on the site.

The system has vastly improved thermal qualities helping the eco footprint of the building.
